Honoured to be asked by Preston Rowe Paterson to present at their annual conference. Redd Zebra provided an update on the ACP issue and ramifications in Australia, with first hand examples on a number of due diligence projects.

The presentation highlighted how the Commonwealth is looking to each State and Territory to legislate change, the changes already undertaken putting obligation on building owners, and how industry needs to be careful, especially when undertaking valuations or during sales transactions.

Post presentation discussion focused on: who is responsible if a building has non-compliant ACP; how to identify ACP generally; and industry reactions, with financial institutions attempting to mitigate risk and insurers charging exorbitant premiums during this time of flux.
